Malaysia applies a standard SST rate of 6% to most goods and services. To add SST, multiply the net price by 0.0600 and add it to the original amount. To remove SST from aSST-inclusive price, divide the gross amount by 1.0600.
For example, a net price of 100.00 in Malaysia carries 6.00 in SST, for a gross total of 106.00. Note that many countries also apply reduced rates to essentials like food, books, or medicine — this calculator uses the standard rate.
